On my adventure via the Old Santiam Wagon Road I stopped up on top of Cache Mountain for some lunch. Here are some pictures of the view from the top. Watch out for nails, they are everywhere! This is a popular area for ATV's, motorcycles, and other off-road vehicles.
The Stantiam Wagon Road is not very agressive so just about anybody should be able to traverse it. There is some soft sand up West of Big Lake to play in and you can drive up to the top of Sand Mountain and play in the pits there too.
